In past 30 years, Tourism Business has got great support all over the Rajasthan and especially in Jaisalmer it is getting more and more support. There were only 5 Hotels till 17 July 1981 and by today this number is increased to more than 155 Hotels. And with this many other businesses like Restaurants, Handy-crafts, Jewelry and many other businesses are spreading their branches all over the Jaisalmer. Though all this helped in increasing the economic condition of Jaisalmer people but it caused the lost of Peace and prosperity and also has increased pollution. These days more and more Tourist Groups are coming to Jaisalmer and what they want is Visiting Jaisalmer, Camel Safari, and good food and a peaceful sound sleep. They also want local folk music, Rajasthani Dance and many Cultural events to be shown. Having all these requirements in mind, Laxmi Resort is made. Laxmi Resort is spread in an area of 525 Feet in length and 170 Feet in width. All the rules and regulations of Govt. of India, Govt. of Rajasthan, Rajasthan Tourism Department, Jaipur and Jaisalmer are taken care while the construction of Laxmi Resort.
